The CRC project, the major capital project of the university's Strategic Plan, encompasses the complete renovation and construction of new open-plan laboratory space in Smith and Flexner Halls, two historic buildings on the north end of campus, and a glass-enclosed common area that will connect the two buildings on all floors, designed to provide a collegial environment to encourage scientific interaction and collaboration.
